Aerial Antics: Libertyland

I like to mix up taking an aerial peek at both current and retired parks - ya know, they say that variety is the spice of life! Sometimes looking at closed parks is a bit sad, but when writing the Weekly Rewind about the Zippin Pippin being torn down, I just had to wonder, what would Bing's aerials offer of Libertyland?

Well here's what! Above we have a nice shot of the park when it was still operating. The steel coaster is the Revolution, which was sold to DelGrosso's but has not yet been installed. Lots of other rides and attractions can be seen, including the park's log flume.

And then here's the 'after' of the above shot. The coaster is removed, along with many of the rides that were at the park. The log flume looks pretty untouched, though.

This is another before shot of the middle section of Libertyland. The Zippin Pippen is on the left, and runs out into the parking lot/fairgrounds.

And here's what is left in the after photo. All the rides are gone, including the Kamikaze, a looping flat ride, which was always featured prominently in advertising for the park.

Finally we have a full shot of the Zippin Pippin, which is currently being torn down. Elvis must be pretty bummed!
