Schlitterbahn Introduces Interactive Water Adventure

Schlitterbahn has done it again: It is about to lay claim to yet another "world's first". This time the innovation is coming to the New Braunfels location, in the form of an interactive water adventure dubbed "Pirate's Plunder".

Developed by the creators of MagiQuest, the new AquaQuest technology behind Pirate's Plunder incorporates the use of waterproof, infrared "AquaGloves" which allow players to interact with Schlitterbahn's various attractions. Five unique quests will take park guests on a treasure hunt in search of a "mysterious ruby-red crystal". Along the way, they can utilize their magical AquaGloves to rack up points and even trigger a few water effects.

Schlitterbahn is proud to be the first water park to introduce this new AquaQuest prototype. Pirate's Plunder is slated to make its debut at 10 a.m. this Friday, August 7, and will run through September 20, 2009. If it's a hit, I imagine we will probably see it return next season.
